Soccer, Fall Youth Program
Registration opens July 1 for Fall Youth Soccer with the Saco Parks and Recreation Department!
For the fall 2026 season, we will offer the following divisions:
Start Smart programs for ages 2-4
PreK-Kinder Division
Boys and Girls Soccer for Grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6
Registration is open through August 14, or as space allows
SPR Fall Youth Soccer 2026 Program Info
- SPR Staff: Joe Paul, and seasonal staff
- Season Dates: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 through Saturday, October 24, 2026
- Season Fee: Start Smart and PreK-Kinder Divisions are $70/resident; $75/non-resident. Boys and Girls Grades 1-6 Divisions are $70/resident; $75/non-resident. Registrations received after August 14 will include a $5 late registration fee.
- Required Equipment:
- Start Smart participants will receive a ball as part of their registration. All other division players must provide their own ball; recommended size for Kinder-4 grades - size 4; recommended size for grades 5-6 - size 5
- Shinguards: required for all divisions.
- Cleats: recommended for all divisions. Required for grades 5-6.
Preliminary Schedule Info and Format for 2026 Season
- Practice Location: Saco Recreation Complex at Foss Road
- Week of August 31, 2026 – Kick Off Practice Week for Grades 1-6. Grades 1–6 Boys and Girls teams will start practicing this week if the team has a Volunteer Coach in place. We know many families are on vacation or attending open houses during this busy week, so attendance is optional this week.
- Season runs through October 24 for these divisions. See below for additional details.
- Boys Grades 1-2: Tuesday* Practices 5:15-6:15PM starting September 1; Saturday games starting September 19, times TBD (*If needed, some teams may practice on Mondays)
- Boys Grades 3-4 and 5-6: Thursday Practices 5:15-6:15PM starting September 3; Saturday games starting September 19, times TBD
- Girls Grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6: Wednesday Practices: 5:15-6:15PM starting September 2; Saturday games starting September 19, times TBD
- Start Smart Divisions ages 2, 3, and 4 (Parent Participation Required): Saturdays, September 19-October 24. Times by division as noted in activities.
- Combined Pre-K and Kinder Soccer: Saturdays, September 19-October 24 Practice sessions are 45 minutes and will vary between 8:30-11:30AM.
- Picture Day: Saturday, September 12 at the Foss Road Recreational Complex.
