Saco Parks and Recreation is excited to announce registration is now open for our Travel Basketball program for the 2022-2023 season!  This season we are offering divisions for boys and girls in grades 3-6 and participating in the Southern Maine Hoops League!

Travel Basketball League Info 2022-2023
The SPR Travel Basketball program is open to Boys and Girls in Grades 3-6. The Southern Maine Hoops League is the league we are participating in for 2022-2023. Game locations for this league include Maine Basketball Academy in Portland, the Lewiston Armory, and Maine Sports Arena in Saco. The league this season has single grade divisions. Saco Parks and Recreation will determine whether divisions are composed of single or combined grades based on registrations, coach availability, and participant age and ability.

Overview of the 2022-2023 season
SPR Staff: Meghan Gribbin and Steve Brown
Registration Fee: $175.00/resident; $180.00/non-resident
Fee covers all costs to enter into leagues, players clinics, tournaments, referees, practices & uniforms. All fees include uniforms and a shooting shirt. Uniforms must be returned at the end of the season. Players keep the shooting shirts.
Practices start the week of November 7th, 2022
Practice Locations: Saco Community Center Gym and C.K. Burns School
League Game Schedule: November 18, 2022 – January 29, 2023. Play-Offs to follow for eligible teams.
Picture Day: Saturday, January 7, 2023
All COVID-19 prevention protocols will be evaluated to follow guidelines at the time of the program.
