Paddle & Picnic Nights on the Saco River • Register • View Cart •

Join us for some evenings on the water! We have limited SUP boards and canoes available to rent, and a few select spots for participants to bring their own equipment. The entire group will paddle together from Diamond Riverside Park to Rotary Park in Biddeford, where we will enjoy a picnic dinner. The picnic dinner will be provided by a local establishment and transported by an SPR employee. Your registration fee includes dinner! After we picnic, we will paddle back to Diamond Riverside Park. This is approximately a 1-mile paddle each way. You can expect about a 30–40-minute paddle upstream, and about 20-30 minutes downstream. Choose from 1 of 3 nights or join us for all 3!! Time: 5:00pm- 8:00pm
Where: Launching from Diamond Riverside on Irving Street in Saco. Dinner at Rotary Park in Biddeford.

Fee: Varies depending on equipment choice!
Stand-Up Paddle Board: $35/person
Canoe: $50/canoe (includes 2 people)
Bring your own option: $25/person
Registration: All registrations include the picnic dinner! Menu will include a variety of sandwiches or wraps, plus chips, drinks, and dessert! Space is limited. Registration is required!

• Stand-Up Paddle Board: SPR has 4 paddle boards to rent. Your rental will include the board, lifejacket, ankle leash, and paddle. One person per SUP board. Must be ages 8+ to rent, and accompanied by a participating (and registered) adult.
• Canoe: SPR has 6 canoes available to rent (thanks to Thornton Academy)! Canoe rentals are meant for 2 people. Your rental includes the canoe, 2 paddles, and 2 lifejackets. All participants must be ages 8+ and one must be over 18 years old.
• **Important Canoe Registration Info: Please register just 1 person to start. During the checkout process it will ask you who your participating partner is. Our office will follow up and get the 2nd person signed up afterwards. The $50 fee covers both participants.
• Bring your own option: There are also 6 additional registration spots for those who have their own equipment. (Non-motorized sports only!) You may bring a paddle board, kayak, or canoe! You must also supply your own lifejacket and paddle etc. Your registration covers the event and dinner. Participants must be ages 8+ but must also be accompanied by a participating adult who is 18 years+.
• All participants must have some experience paddling on the river. No beginners, as this is not a lesson. We will have a lifeguard on duty! Once everyone is registered we will email a reminder with the full event plan!
