Current Job Openings and Seasonal Application Information
School Year 2023-2024:
We will start accepting applications for school year '23-'24 programs in July 2023, and ongoing throughout the school year as positions are needed - Spring Update 2024: we have completed hiring for school year 2023-2024.  Please stay tuned for updates for next school year opportunities.

Seasonal recreation includes opportunities for after school counselors and leaders.  Eligible candidates must have at least complete their freshman year of high school.   

Application Process and School Year Program Information:
Programs are offered Monday-Friday for after school services and full day options on holidays, vacation weeks, or professional development days for educators.  We follow the elementary school calendar, and our priority schedule is for candidates with availability starting at 1:45pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and at 12:45pm on Wednesdays.   

Seasonal Recreation Employees during the school year may work in After School programs and/or Fall, Winter & Spring Programs including youth sports and special events. Applicants must have already completed their freshman year of high school and have a flexible availability including after school, some evenings and some weekends.  To apply, follow the City of Saco online application process.

Summer Recreation Programs: Camps and Twin City Theater Academy
Overview of recreation hiring timeline for summer 2024:
Summer applications will be accepted starting March 1st, 2024, with interviews scheduled in the first few weeks of April to fill vacancies as needed in our K-8 Summer Camps in 2024.  Eligibility requirements for candidates are noted in the City of Saco online application for our department. 

For summer 2024:

• We have limited part-time seasonal recreation counselor positions available in our K-8 summer camps.
• We do not anticipate having employment openings for Twin City Theater Academy in the summer 2024 season.  We will post updates here if any openings should occur.
