Welcome to the Saco Parks and Recreation Summer Camp 2023 Information Page! This page will be used to provide updates about our programs throughout the winter and spring leading up to summer. Enrollment updates for SPR K-8 Summer CampsEnrollment Phase 1: Opens April 4, 2023 for Saco and Dayton ResidentsEnrollment Phase 2: Opens April 24, 2023 to everyone for remaining weeks *PLEASE DO NOT SEND ENROLLMENT PAPERWORK TO OFFICE BEFORE APRIL 4TH. IT WILL NOT SAVE YOUR SPOT GETTING IT IN BEFORE THE ENROLLMENT DATE. THANK YOU!*Guides and Forms: We have created guides with details on the enrollment process, an overview of camp, and frequently asked questions.Click here for details on the SPR K-8 Summer Camp Enrollment ProcessClick here for additional information on camp and Frequently Asked QuestionsClick here for the Participant Contact Form (used to enroll)Coming in spring: Fee Waiver application for 2023-2024 SPR K-8 Summer Camp Info: Dates: June 19 - August 18, 2023Program dates are tentative and may be adjusted dependent on the final school calendar as determined by snow-day use.Hours: 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday-FridayWho: students entering grades K-8 in the 2023-2024 school yearPricing Options:Weekly: $200.00 resident/$220.00 non-residentFull Summer: $1450.00 resident/$1570.00 non-resident – requires a deposit based on weekly pricing as noted above.Note: we are only offering weekly and full summer payment options this year; we will not be adding a daily registration option.Camp locations: Kinder Camp and Grades 6-8 Camp at the Saco Community Center, Grades 1-2 Camp at Fairfield School, Grades 3-5 Camp at the C.K. Burns School.This summer we will continue the creative and fun on-camp activities, community outings/local field trips, and on-camp special events like we offered in summer 2022. As we have in years past, we will be collaborating with the Saco School Department to support the learning initiatives offered for the upcoming summer. Camp schedules for June and July will be finalized in June and emailed to parents the week of June 12th which will include field trip schedule information. August Camp Calendars will be emailed to parents later on in July. Additional Details for all summer programs:Emergency medications for campers who have emergency medications such as inhalers or EpiPens: these will be turned in to the SPR Office during the week of June 12th. Deadline is Thursday, June 15th. COVID-19 Prevention Processes will be in place following CDC recommendations at the time of programs. We will be following all guidelines and recommendations during camp. Because our programs operate in municipal and school buildings, our program policies follow required guidelines for these organizations as well.
