Welcome to the Saco Parks and Recreation School’s Out 2026-2027 Information Page!
This page will be used for updates throughout the summer and fall.

What is School’s Out? School’s Out is an after school and school vacation child care program through Saco Parks & Recreation for Saco and Dayton students in PreK-5th grade.

School's Out services for the 2026-2027 school year include:
After the Bell for PreK, Grades K-2, and Grades 3-5: After School program includes Regular School Days, Early Release Days and Abbreviated Wednesdays.

Full Days Off PreK-5th grade: Offered on vacation days, teacher professional development days, and holiday weeks - Open to Dayton students enrolled in our After the Bell program. Children must be already enrolled in the School's Out Program to participate in our Full Day Off Programs including the Holiday, February, and April school vacation weeks.

School Year Program Costs*:
Annual Enrollment Fee: $30.00 - Saco Residents, $35.00 - Dayton Residents
After the Bell after care costs: $20.00/day
Early Release Day costs: $30.00/day
Full Days Off/Vacation Weeks: $40.00/day
*Cost is per camper.

Community Center Kinder-2nd Grade & Full Day Out services (for all grades)
C.K. Burns School Grades 3-5
Dayton Consolidated School PreK-5th Grade


School’s Out 2026-2027 Dates: August 2026-June 2027
**Start dates for After the Bell (after school) are dependent on Saco and Dayton School calendars and determined by grade. End of school year date determined by snow day use.

After the Bell/Early Release Hours: school dismissal-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
Full Day Out Hours: 7:30am-5:30pm

Saco Parks and Rec does not operate on Snowdays. If school is closed due to weather, SPR will not be opened and accounts will be credited for the closure. 

If school's cancel "extra-curricular activities" that means ones sponsored by the school (lego club, etc.) Saco Parks and Rec will send out it's own communication regarding weather cancellations and delays. 

ENROLLMENT PROCESS!
• Full School Year After Care/Full Days Out Enrollment Opens from Monday, July 6th: Enrollment opens for anyone looking to use our School's Out services during the 26-27 school year. This includes after the bell, school vacations, teacher workshop days and holidays. This is open to children in the Saco and Dayton school districts entering PreK-5th grade. 

• Registration: Pre-registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be available on our website starting July 6th. Once we receive and review your pre-registration form, your www.sacorec.com  account will be invoiced the enrollment fee. Once that fee is paid, your child's spot in our program is secure.

Starting August 15th, families will be able to start purchasing dates for services needed. 

*We are no longer accepting the PDF forms used in the past. Summer Camp participants must submit a new form.  No rollover requests are accepted.* 

Enrollment Closes: Monday, September 7th, 2026 or as space allows - as it is typical for us to sell out, some programs may fill prior to deadline.
