TCTA Fall 2024 Production: Annie Jr.
- Show Info courtesy of Music Theatre International: “Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning best musical by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, Annie JR. follows the story of an orphan named Annie living a “hard-knock life” at The New York City Municipal Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie dreams of being reunited with her parents and takes action to find them. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy. ”
- Program Overview: The fall program is a great opportunity for this year’s Twin City Theater members in grades 2-10 to explore their creative talents with classic music, choreography and staging! Students will rehearse throughout the fall, focusing on all aspects of performing and tech: character work, monologue preparation, vocal health, and sets/props. The production will culminate with four performances at the Performing Arts Center in Biddeford Middle School.
- REGISTRATION OPENS THURSDAY, AUGUST 15.
- Who: for students in grades 2-10
- Weekly Rehearsal Dates: Sunday evenings 4:00-6:00PM September 22-November 17, 2024 at the Performing Arts Center at Biddeford Middle School.
- Dress Rehearsal Week: Monday December 2, Tuesday December 3, and Wednesday December 4 from 4-8pm at the Performing Arts Center at BMS.
- Times listed with activity schedule are subject to change.
- Performance Dates: Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7:00pm performances, December 5, 6, and 7, 2024; Sunday 2:00pm Matinee December 8 - Performing Arts Center at Biddeford Middle School
- Enrollment and Registration Process: Theater Academies require a 2024 membership - summer 2024 participants are already members.
