Celebrate Earth Day in Saco!
Earth Day is an annual event typically celebrated in April all over the world!

Each year, the Saco Parks & Recreation Department offers an opportunity to bring the community together to clean up and prepare the local green spaces and parks for spring and summer! It is now more important than ever to focus on our green space, clean energy, eliminating waste, and becoming an eco-friendly community.

Please check out the information below to sign up and get involved!

Earth Day Celebration Info
Join us to volunteer in the Saco Community and celebrate Earth Day! We are looking for volunteers who would like to clean up and prepare the local parks for spring and summer. Duties include trash pick-up, weeding, mulching, raking, etc. This event is (light) rain or shine!

We are looking for volunteers to help at Pepperell Park, Jubilee Park, The River Walk Trail, Cascade Falls, Haley Park, Saco Middle School, the Saco Community Center, and the Eastern Trail. Volunteers will choose their preferred park below (spaces are limited per location based on anticipated projects available). Participants will meet at the Saco Community Center in the morning for t-shirt pick-up, coffee, snacks, a group photo, and welcome note! Please bring simple tools like rakes and gloves if you have them!
