This is a developmentally appropriate introductory program for children ages 3–4. It prepares children for organized t-ball, baseball, and softball in a fun, supportive environment without competition. This is a parent/guardian participation program, and each child must have a partner (siblings age 13+ may assist). Because this is a partnership program, teammate requests are not accepted. Age-appropriate equipment is used to teach throwing, catching, batting, running, and agility. The program is primarily instruction-based, with light gameplay introduced as the season progresses.

No sessions on April 18 or April 25 (school vacation)

Program Format
Limited to 20 participants per session
All sessions follow the same instructional plan

When & Where
Saturdays at Saco Middle School
50-minute session
Choose one session time: 9:00am, 10:00am, or 11:00am

SPR Coaches: Cam Place and Dylan Griffin

Instruction at this level focuses on hitting from a tee, throwing, catching, and running the bases. The program is designed to meet players at their individual skill level. Children who are new or more comfortable using a tee may continue to do so, while players with previous experience may advance to coach-pitch when ready.

Practices
One weeknight per week: Tuesday or Thursday
5:00–7:00pm at Saco Middle School
Your child may be assigned to either day.
Wednesday may be used if additional practice space is needed.

Participants should have their own catching gloves. We will provide all other necessary equipment. For those that would prefer to provide their own helmets and bats, families are responsible for monitoring use of personal equipment during practice if they are not intended to be shared.
