Adult Indoor Yoga Flow Classes - Joyful Heart Yoga Flow- October-December Session Joyful Heart Yoga FlowAbout the Instructor and Program: Holly Paquette teaches Tri Yoga® The Art and Science of Yogaflow®, an alignment-based flow and asana practice that helps soothe and enrich heart and spirit. Breath work pairs with mindful, slow flow movement, creating strength, flexibility, stamina, grace, and peace within. Core power and spinal fluidity develop from the inside out. Pranayama (breath work/breathing techniques) begins class and Yoga Nidra (Yoga Sleep) rounds out the evening’s practice. Tri Yoga movement activates and strengthens core muscles which in turn allow us to articulate the spine, creating wavelike spinal movements that help us keep our bodies strong and supple.Tri Yoga classes may consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Flows and asanasUpper/lower body stretching and strengtheningOn-the-floor: seated, on-the-knees, prone, supine, etc. (ex: cat, pigeon, plank, cobra, camel, bridge)Inversions (ex: standing forward bend, downward facing dog, and variations)Standing postures (ex: triangle, warrior, and variations)Balancing (ex: quad stretch, tree, dancer and standing bow)Spinal twists Modifications may be offered towards gentler and/or more advanced flow/asanas. Students are taught use of props to assist in alignment and comfort. Students are encouraged to rest at any time in accordance with their individual needs.Holly uses trance and contemplative music of various artists.
