We will have all sorts of games and activities available from 2:30-5 PM. We will have both indoor and outdoor activities as long as the weather permits.   The Activities offered will include  Basketball  Corn hole  Soccer  Wiffle Ball And others!   These activities will not be formal and will all be available for anyone and everyone to come and use and play! All ages are welcome, however children 11 and under will need parent or guardian supervision. Please register everyone in your family attending including adults. Craft your own personal experience! 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM	SPR Teen Place: Friday Trips - Seacoast Fun Park: Snow Tubing Fun SPR is excited to launch our 2024/2025 Friday Trip Schedule for SPR Teen Place this fall. This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! Trip sessions start at 5:00PM with all participants arriving to the Saco Community Center at 75 Franklin Street to check-in before departure.  Pick up times at SPR will be updated for each trip depending on event schedules and will be emailed to families.Membership is required - click here for the Teen Place membership page.  You must sign up in advance for all trips you plan on attending.  Registration for each trip will be available until 1PM on the day of the trip unless an earlier deadline is noted or until all seats are filled.

5:00 PM - 8:00 PM	SPR Teen Place: Friday Trips - Urban Air SPR is excited to launch our 2024/2025 Friday Trip Schedule for SPR Teen Place this fall. This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! Trip sessions start at 5:00PM with all participants arriving to the Saco Community Center at 75 Franklin Street to check-in before departure.  Pick up times at SPR will be updated for each trip depending on event schedules and will be emailed to families.Membership is required - click here for the Teen Place membership page.  You must sign up in advance for all trips you plan on attending.  Registration for each trip will be available until 1PM on the day of the trip unless an earlier deadline is noted or until all seats are filled.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM	SPR Teen Place: Saturday Trips - Snowshoeing/ X-Country Skiing at Harris Farm in Dayton SPR Teen Place is excited to announce our new Saturday Trip Series for 2024/2025. These trips will take us throughout Southern Maine and New Hampshire and will mostly be focused on outdoor activities and experiences. Transportation, equipment, and food options will be provided. Trips will aim to depart in the morning and return by afternoon/ early evening; This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th. On select Saturdays throughout the year, SPR Teen Place will offer an outing or trip for an additional cost. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM	Lego Engineers & Beyond - Junior Engineers Program InfoSaco Parks and Recreation is excited for the return of Lego Robotics and Engineering! This fall, we are offering two different sessions designed for specific grades featuring age-appropriate activities and equipment for Engineers in 1st through 5th grade. All Engineers will operate the Lego Spike Essential & Prime Systems and the Lego Mindstorm Systems.  With these products, the Engineers will learn about simple machines, gears, and basic robotics coding.  Not only will the Engineers play with Lego, but they will also practice Teamwork, Brainstorming, Experimentation & Hypothesis - all essential skills of STEM work! Our hope for this Lego Engineers Program is that there will be a 4-week session registration available four times per school year.  We ask that your child register for a maximum of 2 sessions per school year so that we can serve as many Lego Robotics Engineers as we can.  Registrations will be monitored by the SPR Office.  Wait listed participants who are not added to the session will be offered a spot in the next session. This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! This winter, we are offering two different sessions designed for kinder aged children. All Engineers will operate Lego Spike Essential with a partner.  With this product, the Engineers will learn about simple machines, gears, and basic robotics coding.  Not only will the Engineers play with Lego, but they will also practice Teamwork, Brainstorming, Experimentation & Hypothesis - all essential skills of STEM work! We will offer several 4-week long Kinder Lego Robotics and Engineering sessions during the school year. We ask that your child register for a maximum of 2 sessions per school year so that we can serve as many Lego Robotics Engineers as we can.  Registrations will be monitored by the SPR Office.  Wait listed participants who are not added to the session will be offered a spot in the next session. This program is for all players who are looking to gain more experience, or who want to come try a new sport. We are offering 3 courts to allow for more games! Please bring your own paddle if you have one, otherwise we have some you can borrow. We will have informational handouts but no formal instruction for beginners. Each week with an emphasis on a new game while other card and board games will still be available to play. The program is designed to help develop learning/critical thinking skills and sportsmanship through game play of winning and losing.
