This fall, we are offering two different sessions designed for specific grades featuring age-appropriate activities and equipment for Engineers in 1st through 5th grade. All Engineers will operate the Lego Spike Essential & Prime Systems and the Lego Mindstorm Systems.  With these products, the Engineers will learn about simple machines, gears, and basic robotics coding.  Not only will the Engineers play with Lego, but they will also practice Teamwork, Brainstorming, Experimentation & Hypothesis - all essential skills of STEM work! Our hope for this Lego Engineers Program is that there will be a 4-week session registration available four times per school year.  We ask that your child register for a maximum of 2 sessions per school year so that we can serve as many Lego Robotics Engineers as we can.  Registrations will be monitored by the SPR Office.  Wait listed participants who are not added to the session will be offered a spot in the next session. Holding the postures, conscious breathing, and revitalization of the mind, body, and spirit will bring more awareness within while working toward creating balance in daily life. While all yoga seeks to achieve this, this class will focus on more physical strengthening and toning. Experience this unique class while finding fun in toning & sculpting your abs, buttocks, legs, arms, etc.! Class session depends on the majority of participants. All levels encouraged to attend. Instructor: Amanda Kezal has taught classes at the Saco Community Center for over 8 years, and has been an instructor for over 25!

The Saco Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host this festive tradition in person again! The Thanksgiving meal will be cooked in-house by experienced City of Saco staff, who have prepared this meal for several years. 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM	Puzzle Palooza; The Great Puzzle Race - Puzzle Palooza Welcome to all who love figuring out puzzles. Your creative minds will be put to the test in SPR's second annual Puzzle Palooza! On Friday, December 12th from 7-9 PM right here in our very own Saco Community Center. In teams of 4-8. You will work together to put a 500 piece puzzle together. This is a race to the finish as we will see which team comes out on top. You will have two hours to try to complete the puzzle with your team. The top 3 teams to finish will win a prize. If no team finishes in the time period, the top three teams that have the most puzzle done will be crowned the winners. We will have snacks and drinks available for all our participants. Please sign up as a family or group that you will be participating with. It will be $20 per group for this activity. Only One member of your team has to sign up and register. They will pay for the entire team. Once a "team captain" has signed up. Please email Cam (cplace@sacomaine.org) with the other members of your team.

Participants must sign up in advance, and group sizes will be limited to about 15-17 per class. Participants will have two registration options:1) You may purchase the entire session at a Discounted rate of $6.00/class.2) You may purchase individual classes at $8.00/class.Payment for all sessions is due at registration. Account credits for missed classes will not be issued unless it is due to cancellation by SPR (i.e weather, or instructor conflict). Participants may be eligible for class credits if advanced notice is given for missed classes. Instructor will not be accepting cash or check payments on site, and participants must bring their own equipment!
