Please bring your own paddle if you have one, otherwise we have some you can borrow. We will have informational handouts but no formal instruction for beginners. 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM	SPR Teen Place: Friday Trips - Maine Mall and Dinner SPR is excited to launch our 2024/2025 Friday Trip Schedule for SPR Teen Place this fall. This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! Trip sessions start at 5:00PM with all participants arriving to the Saco Community Center at 75 Franklin Street to check-in before departure.  Pick up times at SPR will be updated for each trip depending on event schedules and will be emailed to families.Membership is required - click here for the Teen Place membership page.  You must sign up in advance for all trips you plan on attending.  Registration for each trip will be available until 1PM on the day of the trip unless an earlier deadline is noted or until all seats are filled.

This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM	SPR Baseball Skills Clinic - Baseball Clinic- AGES 7-12 SESSION SPR is happy to present a brand new program. The baseball skills clinic will take place over the course of three weeks on the following Saturdays: March 8th, 15th and 29th. It will take place at the Saco Community Center gym with the use of our Batting Cage. The baseball clinic will be offered in two different age sessions, the first being from 1-3 PM for players ages 7-12. The next session is from 3-5 PM and it is for players ages 13-18. During the three sessions we will go over all aspects of the game of Baseball, ranging from defense to offense and pitching as well. It will be just $30 dollars for all three sessions making it a deal compared to private baseball lessons in the area. Meet the Coach: Cameron Place is a former player at Husson University in Bangor Maine. He has coached in Maine with the AAU program Maine Sting, as well as most recently coaching Junior Varsity for Warhill High school in Williamsburg Virginia. Cameron brings passion, energy and fun to the game well also being knowledgeable and knowing how to teach kids the right fundamentals to improve their game. He has coached kids at every level of Baseball and is ready to get this program off the ground here at SPR.

5:00 PM - 8:00 PM	SPR Teen Place: Friday Trips - Movie Night at Apple Cinema SPR is excited to launch our 2024/2025 Friday Trip Schedule for SPR Teen Place this fall. This program is designed for all students in grades 6th through 8th.  On Fridays, SPR Teen Place will be offering an outing or trip for an additional cost. See the activities below for all trips offered during our  2024/2025 session! Trip sessions start at 5:00PM with all participants arriving to the Saco Community Center at 75 Franklin Street to check-in before departure.  Pick up times at SPR will be updated for each trip depending on event schedules and will be emailed to families.Membership is required - click here for the Teen Place membership page.  You must sign up in advance for all trips you plan on attending.  Registration for each trip will be available until 1PM on the day of the trip unless an earlier deadline is noted or until all seats are filled.

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM	SPR Baseball Skills Clinic - Baseball Clinic- AGES 7-12 SESSION SPR is happy to present a brand new program. The baseball skills clinic will take place over the course of three weeks on the following Saturdays: March 8th, 15th and 29th. It will take place at the Saco Community Center gym with the use of our Batting Cage. The baseball clinic will be offered in two different age sessions, the first being from 1-3 PM for players ages 7-12. The next session is from 3-5 PM and it is for players ages 13-18. During the three sessions we will go over all aspects of the game of Baseball, ranging from defense to offense and pitching as well. It will be just $30 dollars for all three sessions making it a deal compared to private baseball lessons in the area. Meet the Coach: Cameron Place is a former player at Husson University in Bangor Maine. He has coached in Maine with the AAU program Maine Sting, as well as most recently coaching Junior Varsity for Warhill High school in Williamsburg Virginia. Cameron brings passion, energy and fun to the game well also being knowledgeable and knowing how to teach kids the right fundamentals to improve their game. He has coached kids at every level of Baseball and is ready to get this program off the ground here at SPR.

Each session will include 20-25 minutes of drills before moving into a short scrimmage. This recreation program focuses on skills, sportsmanship and having fun! This program is recommended for players who have some prior experience playing soccer to continue to advance their skills in preparation for the fall season!Seats are limited in each division to provide individual tailored instruction for participants, and sessions will fill quickly.  Registration will be open through Friday, Febuary 28th or as space allows.  Register today!

Please bring your own paddle if you have one, otherwise we have some you can borrow. We will have informational handouts but no formal instruction for beginners. 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM	Kinder Lego Engineers & Beyond - Engineers in Training Saco Parks and Recreation is excited for the return of Kinder Lego Robotics and Engineering! This winter, we are offering two different sessions designed for kinder aged children. All Engineers will operate Lego Spike Essential with a partner.  With this product, the Engineers will learn about simple machines, gears, and basic robotics coding.  Not only will the Engineers play with Lego, but they will also practice Teamwork, Brainstorming, Experimentation & Hypothesis - all essential skills of STEM work! We will offer several 4-week long Kinder Lego Robotics and Engineering sessions during the school year. We ask that your child register for a maximum of 2 sessions per school year so that we can serve as many Lego Robotics Engineers as we can.  Registrations will be monitored by the SPR Office.  Wait listed participants who are not added to the session will be offered a spot in the next session.
