This program is available in two divisions for the Fall 2026 season.The first division is the Start Smart Mini Cheering Program for ages 2 years old through Pre-K. This program is an introduction to basic movement, music and fun, based on a cheering structure with emphasis on the fun! Our new Start Smart format for this age group will involve a parent partner during every session.  This is a developmentally appropriate introductory cheering program.  The program prepares children and their parents for organized cheering in a fun environment. Details: meets Mondays 5:30-6:00pm starting September 14,2026Our other division is the Rising Stars for Kindergarten – 2nd graders. Rising Stars will start as an introduction to cheering with more of the basics of cheering, jumps, stunting, music and fun and will move into more complicated cheering basics and more tumbling and stunting as the progression allows. Holding the postures, conscious breathing, and revitalization of the mind, body, and spirit will bring more awareness within while working toward creating balance in daily life. While all yoga seeks to achieve this, this class will focus on more physical strengthening and toning. Experience this unique class while finding fun in toning & sculpting your abs, buttocks, legs, arms, etc.! Class session depends on the majority of participants. All levels encouraged to attend. Instructor: Amanda Kezal has taught classes at the Saco Community Center for over 10 years, and has been an instructor for over 25!

2:30 PM - 4:30 PM	SENIORity Travel with Collette - SENIORity Travel with Collette: Pacific NW Trip & DC Trip Saco Parks and Recreation has now partnered with two travel companies, Premiere World Discovery, for three successful trips, and now Collette travel for our upcoming trips! We know that planning logistics and traveling, (especially if you’re alone), can be an intimidating task, which is why we have partnered with these companies to make things easy. These trips provide a group travel opportunity where local people can sign up and perhaps see familiar faces on the trip. Saco Parks and Recreation also helps to organize the informational sessions and extra travel details. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM	Puzzle Palooza; The Great Puzzle Race - Puzzle Palooza Welcome to all who love figuring out puzzles. Your creative minds will be put to the test in SPR's fourth bi-annual Puzzle Palooza! On Friday, October 2nd from 6-8 PM right here in our very own Saco Community Center gym. In teams of 4-8. You will work together to put a 500 piece puzzle together. This is a race to the finish as we will see which team comes out on top. You will have two hours to try to complete the puzzle with your team. The winning team will win the Puzzle Palooza championship Belt. That team will also get to play for free and defend their title at the next puzzle palooza. Second and Third place teams will win prizes as well! We will have snacks and drinks available for all our participants. Please sign up as a family or group that you will be participating with. It will be $30 per group for this activity. Only One member of your team has to sign up and register. They will pay for the entire team. Once a "team captain" has signed up. This program is available in two divisions for the Fall 2026 season.The first division is the Start Smart Mini Cheering Program for ages 2 years old through Pre-K. This program is an introduction to basic movement, music and fun, based on a cheering structure with emphasis on the fun! Our new Start Smart format for this age group will involve a parent partner during every session.  This is a developmentally appropriate introductory cheering program.  The program prepares children and their parents for organized cheering in a fun environment. Details: meets Mondays 5:30-6:00pm starting September 14,2026Our other division is the Rising Stars for Kindergarten – 2nd graders. Rising Stars will start as an introduction to cheering with more of the basics of cheering, jumps, stunting, music and fun and will move into more complicated cheering basics and more tumbling and stunting as the progression allows. While all yoga seeks to achieve this, this class will focus on more physical strengthening and toning. Experience this unique class while finding fun in toning & sculpting your abs, buttocks, legs, arms, etc.! Class session depends on the majority of participants.
